  • "I am a first time puppy owner and I truely believe Angela has a gift! My puppy is now 7 months old and she knows all basic commands, down/stays with distractions, “place” command which has been a game changer at home or when having guests over, but the most drastic improvement has been on leash walking/heel. She now understands dog/people etiquette when walking too. The goal is to feel comfortable and confident with her off leash walking and playing in parks and I know it will happen!
    If you are looking for a trainer,Angela is your girl. Her enthusiasm is contagious and my puppy loves all of the activities and training exercises. Training a new puppy can be a lot of work which I quickly discovered but Angela makes it fun and positive for you and your pup!!"

  • "My family used Angela at Sit Like Me for dog training outside of the home for our dog Auggie. Auggie spent a week with Angela training and learning manners. Prior to his training, Auggie was difficult to walk and was very destructive. We were worried that we would have to rehome Auggie after having him for 2 years.
    After the week long training with Angela, Auggie has been able to walk daily with the entire family. He has been more mindful of his behaviors and has been really well behaved with our one year old.   • "Our pup Skylar is a highly energetic and extremely anxious rescue coonhound. We live in a crowded neighborhood in Chicago with a tiny backyard. Skylar's behavior eventually had us questioning whether we could continue to live in Chicago with our first (human) child on the way. We could not even take her for walks, let her outside unattended, or even allow her to be near the front of our apartment, as she would bark uncontrollably at every person and dog nearby (even with the blinds closed!). We tried multiple different trainers, but her behavior never changed... until we found Sit Like Me and completed our Day Train Package.
    With our busy work schedules, training Skylar regularly became a challenge. The Day Train Package fit our schedule, and the most valuable part of the package is the way that Ang walks us through all of her techniques to train Skylar so we could practice at home in our free time. In less than a month, using Ang's techniques allowed us to begin taking Skylar for walks again, as she now calmly heels next to me. She also has perfected the "Place" command, and we can FINALLY open up the blinds of our front windows! If Skylar starts to get worked up and sees a dog outside, we tell her to "Place" and point at her bed to calm her down. 
    We are so thankful we found Ang and Sit Like Me! After having gone through 3 different trainers, her techniques finally got through to Sklyar."

  • "Angela just had our 22 month old lab for a week at her place. She totally tamed and channeled Cali’s high Labrador energy. I’m completely shocked at how much Cali was able to learn in such a short period of time with Ang. Cali is still the same fun loving crazy family dog, but completely understands when it’s time to take a break now and listens to commands. We told Angela some of the ongoing issues we had with Cali that we could not correct on our own. She corrected them all and taught Cali a number of other new things. Highly recommended!!"

  • "I recently sent my 5 month old rescue puppy to train with Angela for a week and I couldn't be more happy with my decision to do so! Before I sent her, my puppy was very energetic and playful, but also very shy in unfamiliar surroundings.
    After training with Angela, my puppy was able to walk perfectly on a leash and gained so much confidence.
